Upstate South Carolina
If you have never visited Upstate South Carolina, you’ll be shocked by its beauty. Upstate South Carolina, which includes the cities of Greenville, Spartanburg, and Anderson, plus many wonderful suburbs and surrounding towns, is located in the western most part of the state. Additionally, it sits at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Greenville even has its own Paris Mountain, which is a park on the north end of town.
Because of the nearly year-round mild climate, there is beautiful foilage, along with many natural and “green” things to do in Upstate South Carolina, including farm to table restaurants to farmers markets. Delectable foods are plentiful in the Upstate!
And what does Upstate South Carolina have for the sports enthusiast? Well, there is a beautiful minor league baseball stadium that holds games for the Greenville Drive. Also, the stadium shares the dimensions of their parent club’s major league park, Fenway Park. Equally, it boasts its own “Green Monster,” complete with manual scoreboard and “Pesky’s Pole” in right field. Also, the Swamp Rabbits, our minor league hockey team, are a blast to watch. Finally, there are, of course, the Clemson Tigers. Go Tigers! (Remember… I have an MBA from Clemson!)
